September 2010 Freethinker Meeting

Hello everyone. It's time to get together for our September meeting of the Fayetteville Freethinkers. We have a bevy of interesting topics prepared for you. Here are some of the plans in the works:

Doug Krueger will tell us about his visit to the International UFO Symposium in Denver. You should know that no cattle were mutilated in the making of this presentation.

We will have a special out of town guest visiting us, Phil Ferguson. He is the fellow who moved up north and put together his own successful freethinker group. He will give us a snappy, informative and interactive presentation on being smart and skeptical with your money. You can check out Phil's blog here: http://www.skepticmoney.com/

Doug will guide us as we practice adjusting the dials on our ethical compass with a Moral Question of the Day. This time it will be a famous and perplexing one often used in philosophy classes.

Darrel Henschell will bring us up to date on other freethinker news of the day, and we'll watch some short and informative clips we simply cannot hold back any longer.

Meeting Details:

When: Saturday, September 25, 2010.

Where: The Fayetteville Public Library. 401 W. Mountain
St. (two blocks west of the town square). Library phone: 571-2222.

Time: 2:00 pm

Room:
The Walker Room. This is the main meeting room. Go in the front door,
through the lobby and go to your right. You can bring a snack or coffee
from Arsaga's in the library lobby.

That would be great if you could. In fact, I was thinking we could sign up Linda and perhaps another right there live, online, in the meeting. Git 'er done.

I am trying not to stuff this meeting to the gills so we will have some breathing room. Maybe even quit a little early so folks can hang around and visit a bit after instead of having to chase everyone out. Never have succeeded in doing that yet however...
