October Meeting

Yesterday was immensely enjoyable! As usual, James and I had a wonderful time. The meeting was enlightening and fun, the after-dinner delicious, and the company (as usual) fantastic.

Well, we are still here in Fayetteville this bright Sunday morning. Not in a big hurry to get back to Springfield. We're off to the bookstore shortly to pick up a copy of Dawkins "The God Delusion", do a bit of browsing, a quick lunch, and then back on the road we go!

I doubt we'll be able to make the Nov. meeting, but will definitely be at the winter party - whenever and whatever that turns out to be this year. I trust the info will be posted on the forum as soon as it becomes available, so that we can make the neccessary arrangements?

sorry i couldn't make the meeting; i had a conference with my professor at that exact time on Saturday. No, really.

as an aside, I have a couple of questions about the site.

were there REALLY 50 people on the forum at the same time on Sept. 2???!!!

and, everytime I log on, there's a guest logged on. who is this guest who stays on the forum 24-7?

Not 50 people... Shortly after Google started indexing our forum, a slew of spambots descended on us and made my maintenance a living hell. All that really means is that there were so many, at one point 50 were here at the same time.

and, everytime I log on, there's a guest logged on. who is this guest who stays on the forum 24-7?

There seems to be a google crawlbot here damn near all the time. A bit annoying for statistics, but it's not really doing anything bad. We can probably thank it for giving us more recognition; we'll show up on Google searches now.
